A character's gender is shown in the top-right corner of the
Character information
screen, next to the
age
, by:
(F) for female
(M) for male
Gender during Character creation
Gender is selected during the first stage of
Character creation
.
It affects the process in 2 ways:
Female characters have the following difference in starting attributes (
base profile
), compared to male characters: +2 End, -3 Str, +1 Chr
Some occupations are never available for female characters: Friar, Priest, Bishop
Because of the significance of End and Str, female characters are slightly disadvantaged, unless high charisma is important to them.
Gender during game-play
During game-play, the character's gender has very little importance:
some saints favour female characters or parties including a female character
there is mention of events where a female character can influence the outcome (which?)
